Eastern Tsuga College has a well-earned reputation for the scope and diversity of our course catalog. Occasionally our courses end up as the hot topic on a slow news day. Still, you can be reassured every class that makes it into a semester is relevant to a student’s objectives as a discerning scholar and positive contributor to society.

PSYCH 250: Sexology: Sexual Deviance or Sexual Culture
This course delves into the intersection of psychology and sociology to examine the delicate boundary between sexual deviance and culture. Students will explore why certain sexual practices are deemed acceptable within a close-knit consent culture, yet frowned upon in wider society. Additionally, the course will investigate the factors that contribute to feelings of shame when private sexual practices become public knowledge.
The overarching objective of the course is to enhance critical thinking abilities while tackling sensitive and contentious topics.

SPORT 151: WINNING AT SPORTS AND ZOMBIES
In this course, Professor Alan Dupont draws a unique comparison between professional team management and surviving a zombie apocalypse. Through exploring the strategies required for survival in a zombie outbreak, attendees will gain valuable insights into building and leading a successful team.
The course curriculum includes an examination of historic games from various eras alongside analysis of popular zombie media such as Night of the Living Dead and The Walking Dead. By studying these examples, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the key skills required for effective team management in high-pressure situations.

MEDIA 168: From Golden Girls to Yellowjackets
This course explores the evolution of controversial topics on television, as seen through the lens of women-led shows. Focusing on the groundbreaking series Golden Girls, which premiered in 1985, students will examine how the show tackled sensitive subjects such as dignity in death and sex positivity with a progressive, ahead-of-its-time perspective.
Through analyzing the cultural and historical context of Golden Girls, as well as other women-led shows, students will gain a deeper understanding of the impact these programs have had on shaping attitudes toward controversial topics over the past four decades.

BUS 283: OnlyFans And the Fortune 500: Financial Fundamentals
This course draws parallels between running a top 50 OnlyFans account and managing a Fortune 500 company, with a focus on the critical role of financial management. Co-taught by a former CFO of a Fortune 500 company and a successful OnlyFans performer, the course will delve into the importance of sound money management for both solo business owners and accountants managing large employee populations.
Through exploring financial management strategies and practices utilized by both OnlyFans performers and large corporations, students will learn valuable skills for effective financial management. By the end of the course, attendees will have gained practical insights and knowledge applicable to a range of professional settings.
