The Secret Historical Society of Verdant
Verdant, Connecticut has two histories. Most people know the history our well-meaning Historical Society of Verdant prefers to present to the public. This is the history taught in our schools and willfully preferred by the general populace of Verdant. The other history is the true history.
House Subconium is one of Verdant’s oldest institutions. Some say the House was here long before Verdant even had a name. Our organization holds the secret history of the town. Our archivists preserve the stories, both ancient and modern, that the Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Tsuga College administration, and Varden town council would prefer not be told. In fact, they prefer to pretend we simply exist as nothing more than a posh members-only BDSM club.
But we exist. We persist. And we hold the the naked truth of the region.
We know the spirits and magic. It is time we shared those stories.
The stories of Verdant, both new and old, are being captured by autor Jasper Flynn. Mr. Flynn has been commissioned to research and preserve the Verdant history while in turn being a narrative journalist of current happenings. It is our understanding that Mr. Flynn may also work with the clandestine clinical organization the Intendment Institute which has founding roots in the town of Verdant.
They’d likely prefer we didn’t mention them.
