Making the Grades: Kelly’s Unveiling

Kelly’s Unveiling is the first book in the Making the Grades series which is part of the Subconium Shared Universe. The book will be released as three novellas before being collected into a final complete edition.

Plot

Kelly Spaihts thought she could charm her way through college. Parties with her Astraea Society sisters, casual flings, and enough effort to keep her grades afloat had always worked. But when a missed quiz in Professor William Taylor’s Sexology course threatens her grades, she makes a desperate decision that plunges her into a thrilling spiral of submission, exhibitionism, and control.

What starts with cleaning his condo evolves into a web of darker desires. Soon, Kelly is wearing a remote-controlled vibrator in public, surrendering herself at Camera Noctis—a secret underground club—and enduring humiliating public tasks that push her limits. Each step deepens her need for the professor’s approval while unraveling her sense of identity.

Outside Professor Taylor’s control, Kelly’s life is unraveling. Her secret affair with Mark, a society sister’s boyfriend, leaves her torn between guilt and arousal. At the same time, the judgment from her housemates threatens to expose the double life she’s carefully constructed. And then there’s Bridgette—the quiet perfectionist who seems to see right through Kelly and offers a new kind of temptation she’s not ready to face.

For readers who crave unapologetically explicit explorations of power, submission, and taboo, Kelly’s Unveiling is a provocative journey into the erotic and the forbidden, where surrender becomes a powerful act of self-discovery.

Warning: This book contains mature themes, explicit content, and a deep dive into BDSM and power dynamics. Reader discretion is advised.

Background

Kelly’s Unveiling grew its roots on the choose your path erotic story site, CHYOA. In Jasper Flynn’s CHYOA story, Making the Grades, the first choice was to follow one of three characters: Kelly, Allie, or Heather. On that site, Kelly’s story was left unfinished after her streak across Strawbridge College‘s campus. Following rewrites, that part of the story made up roughly one-third of Kelly’s story, with the remaining two-thirds being completed for this novel.

The rewrites were significant. Some changes and additions:

  • Kelly’s sorority became a society.
  • The history of societies and orders was invented.
  • The town of Verdant and the history were invented.
  • Eastern Tsuga College and the history were invented.
  • The supernatural aspects were added.
  • Kelly’s background was fleshed out.
  • Professor Taylor’s background was fleshed out.
  • Mark Rogers was introduced including the history with Kelly.
  • Bridgette Hutchinson was introduced.
